Albert River Winery

The Hinterland surrounding Queensland’s famous Gold Coast is one of Australia’s fastest growing wine regions and is becoming wee-known for its vineyards and boutique wineries.  Centrally located half way between, and approx 25 minutes by helicopter from Brisbane and the Gold Coast, Albert River Wines is located at the historic property of Tamborine House. Established in 1868, Tamborine House lent its name to neighbouring Tamborine Mountain in 1892 and has long been a famous landmark.  Delightful lunches can be enjoyed every Sunday either inside this historic landmark, or on the spacious verandahs overlooking the vineyards and Tamborine Mountain.  Every Sunday “The Vineyard Grill” offers guests an Al Fresco Dining pleasure.  In the country tradition, select from superb cuts of steak or lamb, marinated chicken, or the freshest Queensland seafood.  All are cooked over the grill, and accompanied by freshly baked bread, assorted Seasonal Vegetables and Chef’s Special Potatoes.  In 2006, Albert River Wines was awarded “Best Restaurant in a Winery” at the prestigious Restaurant & Caterers Association Awards, Gold Coast.  So don’t just take our word for it, book this memorable experience now and treat you and your loved one, or a group of friends to this fine dining experience.

Sirromet Winery Experience

Your experience starts the moment you step inside your helicopter and leave the ground enroute to one of the finest wineries in Queensland.  Be immersed in the surroundings that the beautiful Gold Coast has on offer as you trek north over Surfers Paradise for your flight to Sirromet Winery. The magnificent rolling vineyards and breathtaking views out to Morten Bay and Stradbroke Island greet you on your arrival and form a spectacular backdrop for the rest of the day.

There’s so much to see and do at Queensland’s largest and most awarded winery.  Dine in the divine Restaurant Lurleen’s – voted Australia’s “Best Restaurant in a Winery”; taste the numerous great wines on offer at Cellar Door or take it all in with an extensive winery tour.

A Visit to Sirromet is fun, informative and a feast for the senses.  The Cellar Door is overflowing with quality wines that have earned 291 awards (at last count).   At the end of your visit, take home Queensland’s finest wines to complete your cellar, or finally get the inspiration and wine you need to start one from scratch.
